Anyone who has been impacted by a cancer diagnosis and needed to travel for treatment would realise the great support network that is out there, both financially and emotionally. Salvage Plus aims to raise funds to give back to those organisations by selling and recycling whatever we can and having a good time while going about it.

We are still adjusting our business model, but see a variety of products both new, secondhand and recycled items and donations of items you might find on a farm, in a back shed, workshop, garage, or even a hardware store along with DIY tool hire once we have premises.

We're reaching out to everyone across Australia - businesses and private residents alike - for donations of goods that fall under the category of "salvage." This includes everything from boxes of wood screws, bolts, nails, hand tools, paint and hardwood timber to steel, power tools, star pickets, scrap metal, and even farm tractors, implements, ride on mowers and machinery. We also welcome furniture and white goods, even if slightly damaged or requiring minor repairs—items that might have been refunded by suppliers but can still be put to good use.

The benefits of a physical storefront are numerous. It not only creates volunteer opportunities but also strengthens our social connection with the community. While our goal is to eventually establish a storefront, we’re starting small and building up from here—because from little things, hopefully big things grow.

Obviously diverting salvage resources to the cancer care community is our number one project. Salvage Plus is unlikely to succeed without the support of the cancer care community.

If you’re reading this from your property anywhere in Australia and wonder how you can help, well it’s quite easy thanks to modern technology. You can donate items to any cancer support organization by simply sending a number of photos of the goods you have in mind, and we can arrange through Bidsonline Fundraising Auctions to auction the goods in situ. The proceeds from your auction are sent to Salvage Plus, and we forward those funds to one of the cancer support services listed below, which you can choose from or nominate another.
